Berry Merry thank you |
| Thank you so much for your participation in the 2011 Berry Merry Christmas Appeal. Thanks to your generosity 1,521 children in Berry Street's care woke up to gifts on Christmas morning - children who otherwise would have received nothing. You made this Berry Merry the most successful yet. A total of 165 organisations, community groups, schools and individuals participated. A total of over 9,000 gifts were donated and we reached our target of raising $47,000 as well, a fantastic effort! Please view our video below to see what your support means to the children in our care |

Run Melbourne |
| A huge thank you to everyone who supported Berry Street by participating, or donating to the Run Melbourne event. Through your support we raised an incredible $21,000 - more than double what was raised last year. A fantastic effort by everyone! Your efforts go towards supporting over 13,000 Victorian children, young people and families Berry Street supports every year. All money raised from Run Melbourne will go to Berry Street’s programs aimed at giving the children in care a good childhood. Thanks again on a wonderful effort and we look forward to your participation again next year! |

Dr Bruce Perry |
| Berry Street hosted internationally recognised authority on child trauma, Dr Bruce Perry, in Australia during September 2010. Starting in Melbourne in front of nearly 1600 people at the Melbourne Convention Centre, Dr Perry then presented in Cairns, Brisbane, Darwin, Canberra and Sydney. Dr Perry is the Senior Fellow of the ChildTrauma Academy in Houston, Texas and Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioural Science at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is a regular guest on the Oprah program as the resident expert on child trauma. Berry Street, one of Australia’s lead agencies in the fight against child neglect and trauma, was proud to bring Dr Perry to Australia to share his unrivalled experience in the diagnosis and treatment of child trauma. |
